Fred Martin

Fred Martin, 74, was comfortably united in heaven with his loving wife Roberta of 53 years on March 19, 2016. He was born in Blacksville, WV on March 21, 1941. He worked in the plastics industry for several years. His interests included gardening, cooking, bingo, computer games, camping, and spending time with family and friends. He had a giving heart and enjoyed volunteering in his community for several organizations.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Eulah Martin, son Timothy Nelson, brothers Lindhe, Rex (Junior), and Donnie Martin, and sister Ruby Scherer.

Fred is survived by Christine Gorman, Carolyn Sue (Tom) Witteman, Ruby Carol Switzky, Steve Martin, Mike (Karen) Martin, and Kelly Woznicki. He is also survived by Penny Nye, Janmichael Gorman, Christal (George) Shokri, Adam (Adrienne) Witteman, Amanda Ketchum, Chelsea Ketchum, Bethany Woznicki, Kayla Martin, Eve Switzky-Martin, and Lucas Woznicki. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 from4-5:30pm at the Nimmer Building Community Room,1600 Brittain Rd. Akron, OH 44310.
