Fred J. Runion
Fred J. Runion, 75, passed away on February 4, 2007. Born on May 27, 1931 to the late Fred and Blanche Runion. Fred served in the Korean War with the US Army and was a life member of VFW Post 7490. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Lois Johns and brother Eugene Runion. Survivors include wife Beverly (Hogle) Runion; children Carmen (Sloan) Heare, Tom (Michelle)Runion; and Cyndie (Tim) Shilling; step children Eddie Hahn, Sheila Sorci, Bonita Hahn, Jon Hahn, Jacqueline Anderson, and Vickie Novak; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Pauline (Milford) Cutright; sister-in-law Sherry Runion; ex-wife Elizabeth (George) Westbrook; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 6-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.NewcomerFamily.com.
