Freddie Lee Sutton, age 69 of Akron, Ohio, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on December 26, 1948 in Barberton, Ohio, the son of the late Fay and Faye (nee Hatcher) Sutton.
Freddie was an honorably discharged US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was retired from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park as a maintenance worker. He enjoyed hiking, golfing, and bird watching. Freddie also loved his Ohio sports teams.
Freddie is survived by his loving wife, Jennie Lee Sutton; his three grandchildren, Rorri, Mavrick, and Deklin Sutton his two brothers, Robert (Pamela) Sutton and Larry Sutton; his sister, Carolyn Staats; and brothers-in-law, Larry Long and Paul (Deborah) Long; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Other than his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by his son, Sean Sutton; and brother, Raymond Sutton.
Per Freddie's wishes there will be no calling hours and a family celebration of Freddie's life will be held at a later date.
