Frederick Michael Firth, "Fred", age 85 of Akron, Ohio, died on May 4, 2022 at Barberton Hospital.
Fred was born on March 31, 1937 in Akron, the son of the late James and Caroline (nee Seedy) Firth.
Fred was a life-long employee of the Akron School System working as a custodian in many of the schools. He was an avid college football, golf and NASCAR fan. He loved to watch the cooking channel. His greatest joy was spending time with his loving late wife, Pat, going to the flea market in Hartville; and he was a doting father, grandfather and great-grandfather and loved his little dog, Maggie.
Survivors include his children, Michael (Dr. Angela) Firth, Deanna (Jerry) Jarvis, Dr. Kimberly (Dr. Don) Kress, Robin (Robert) Thompson, Joseph (Renee) Firth, Kelley Firth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents, Frederick was preceded in death by his wife, the former Patricia M. Look whom he married in 1984; and his brother, Vincent Firth.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
