Garnet L. Fruits, 81, of Akron, passed away May 14, 2008. Garnet was born June 25, 1926 in Sutton, West Virginia to the late Fletcher and Mae Wilson. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Garnet was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Fruits. She is survived by her sisters, Catherine Day of Titusville, FL and Anna Dean of St. Marys, WV; and brothers, James Wilson of Wayne, WV, Donald Wilson of Trinity, NC, and Jerry Wilson of Kent, OH. The family would like to thank the staff at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital and Hospice of Summa for all their love and care. Visitation will be Monday from 10-12 followed by a 12 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Rev. Willie Smith officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
