Garry James Williams

Garry James Williams, 62, of Greenville, SC, passed away from complications from stroke, dementia, diabetes. Garry was born and raised in Ellet, Ohio. He had thirty years with GT&R police department and the last 10 of those were spent as an executive chauffeur there. Garry loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and his New York Yankees. He will always be remembered for his hugs, that beautiful smile, and love for his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Christine Williams and twin brother, Larry Hayes Williams. Garry will be deeply missed by his wife and love of his life, Victoria (Conley); step children, Justin and Crystal Pint, Jessika Vorhees, Ashley & Tom Lancianese; "Papa Garry's" grandchildren, Tori, Marci, Brenden, and Amira; parents-in-law, Ted and Bev Steiner; siblings through marriage, Rick (Bev), Pat (Mary), Sean (Lisa), Becky (Thad), Jon (Emily), Terry (Llanda), Kris (Tom), Kathie (Lyman),Karen (Hans), Eric (Jamie); wonderful Aunt Patsy; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; special friends Isabel Jasinowski, Michelle Maurer. We would like to thank Heather Knoll and Stow Glen facilities for there care during his stay there. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m.
