Gary Darryl Knotts, 49, went to be home with Jesus on September 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother Judith Hyatt. He is survived by his wife Tamara; son Garon; stepson Zackery Herman; grandson Trenton; father Kenneth Knotts and his wife Cindy; brothers Michael (Cindy) and Daniel Knotts; and several nieces and nephews. Gary was a member of the IBEW Local 38 for 10 years as a Teledata Technician, but was best known for his exceptional carpentry skills. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Thursday, 6:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 820 White Pond Dr., Akron, Rev. Douglas Shoup officiating.
