Gary W. Ispan

Gary W. Ispan, 62, passed away September 20, 2019 with his family by his side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Frank and Mildred (Bauer) Ispan, he was a lifelong area resident. A U.S. Army Veteran, he greatly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hiking, watching the Buckeyes and Steelers, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ispan; son in-law, Thomas Mutchie; in-laws, Bill and Lillian Becker. He will be sadly missed by daughters, Chrissy Mutchie, Jennifer (Dave) Rhines; granddaughters, Chelsea, Leanna, Zoe; great grandson, Jaxson; brothers, Bob (Diane), Richard (Sherry), Tom (Joanne); nieces, nephews and friends.

A very special thank you to Leanne Italia for her kind and loving care of Gary. Till death do us part.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The Celebration of Gary's Life will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Gary's name to the American Heart Association.
