Gary Ray Oliver, 63, passed away unexpectedly December 23, 2023 surrounded by family. Born November 12, 1960 in Akron, Ohio to Clyde and Marilyn (Cole) Oliver, he was a lifelong area resident. Gary was an auto mechanic by trade and recently retired from AutoZone. He was a huge and faithful fan of the Browns and Indians.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by paternal grandparents William and Ressie Oliver, maternal grandparents Kenneth and Dorothy Cole; brother-in-law Clark Boutin; niece Amanda Potts, great-nephew Hunter Allen, and family friend Bob Humphrey.
Gary leaves behind his children, Eugene (Lynn), Marilyn "Sissy" (Dave), Glenn (Lacey), and Dillon; grandchildren, Mason, Haley, Ashton, and James; beloved girlfriend, Sheri Sarnescky and her children, Gina, William, and River as well as his precious dog, Halo. He will be forever missed by his siblings, Rick (Mary Lou), Lynn, Kenny (Marie), Cliff, Clyde, Kim "Bo" (Kevin) Williams, and Lori (Joe Robinson) Boutin. Gary also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
Gary enjoyed fishing, music, and every minute spent with family. He never hesitated to text family just to say "I love you".
One of Gary's favorite past times was karaoke with family and friends where he could be heard doing a classic country song or anything by Elvis. Let's just say the mic never got cold when Gary was present.
