Gary Lee Poe
Gary Lee Poe, 64, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2008. Gary proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired after 30 years of service. In his free time he enjoyed traveling, camping, and meeting new people. He will always be remembered for his free spirit and generosity. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Poe; father, William Poe; brother, Robert Poe; brother-in-law, James Hayes; and sister-in-law, Nancy Johnson. He will be deeply missed by his son, Darin (Debra) Poe; mother, Helen Poe; siblings, William (Annabell) Poe, Bondalene Tokes, Richard (Merry) Poe, and Sharon Brady; grandchildren, Christian, Stephen, and Brian; brothers-in-law, Robert (Kathy) Hayes and Donald (Mary) Hayes, Jr.; sister-in-law, Debbie (Vern) Troyer; special friend, Phyllis Crabill; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with visitation from 12-2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
