Bob Barker, 69, of Tallmadge, passed away June 4, 2010. Bob was born in Price Hill, West Virginia on October 27, 1940 to the late Raymond and Alice Barker. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and retired from Goodyear after 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of Tallmadge United Methodist Church. In his free time, Bob was an amateur radio operator. KC8ZNA is now silent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Barker. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 46 years, Julia; sons, Steven (Jamie) and Gary L. (Michelle); sister, Judy (Bill) McArthur; five grandchildren, Jessica, Casey, Lily, Garrison, and Juliana; three stepgrandchildren, Drew, Joshua, and Zoie; and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Smith, Aseracare, and Hospice of VNS for all the care given to Bob. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry French officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
