Gary G. Ulm

Born February 14, 1938 at Akron City Hospital to Donald V. Ulm and Marie Brooker Ulm and went home peacefully on January 25, 2019. He grew up in the Suffield-Mogadore area. Gary graduated from Mogadore High School and spent 41 years employed at Ferriot Inc.

He loved being outdoors and going for long walks enjoying nature. Anyone who met Gary knew what a kind, gentle, hard working, intelligent, and honorable man he was. He would do anything for a friend or his family, and always put everyone else before himself. He was the greatest husband, father, and grandfather anyone could ever have. His greatest love was time spent with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He always had a new joke to tell and loved telling them. Keep his jokes going.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dave; and sister Judy. Survived by the love of his life, wife Shirley Kapper Ulm; daughter, Mary Baker (Greg); son, Kevin Ulm (Melanie); adorable grandchildren, Allison Cloud (Ben Herberth), Kendall Cloud, Ashton Ulm; sibling, Marilyn Geggus; sister-in-law, Mabel Ulm; as well as many family and friends that he enjoyed his 80 years with.

He would like everyone not to mourn his passing but to celebrate his life.

There will be no calling hours and cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 31 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH at 11:00am with Father Thomas S. Acker, S.J. Ph.D presiding.
