Gary Weinsheimer

Gary Weinsheimer, 72, unexpectedly passed away from health complications on January 8, 2018. A lifelong Akron resident he was born March 30, 1945. Gary retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 35+ years of service. He enjoyed fishing, collecting guns, spoiling his dogs, being retired, and spending time with his wife and family. Gary will be deeply missed.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Cora Weinsheimer, and numerous siblings. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Becky; children, Kris (Jim) Wilson, Andy Weinsheimer, Beth (Dan) Tennant, Joe LaBarba, Angie (Jim) Carr; grandchildren, Jimmy, Kyle, Becca, Tyler, Jessica, Jimmie, Jared, Jeremiah, Aiden; great-grandchildren, Beau Michael, Ryan, Bennett; and siblings, Cheri (Walt) Gardner, Earl Weinsheimer, Ron Weinsheimer.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will take place at 7pm.
