Gay L. "Libby" Holcomb
Gay L. "Libby" Holcomb, 72, passed away on June 25, 2007. He was born on December 27, 1934 in Charleston, WV to the late George and Georgia Holcomb. Libby was a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church and retired from Ohio Edison after 42 years of service. He enjoyed camping, riding in his golf cart, and old cars. Libby loved life and cherished his family and friends. Babies and children caused his face to light up with joy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; 1 sister; and his best friend Tony Colletti. Survivors include his beloved wife Donna who was his angel and soulmate for 46 beautiful years; daughters Gail (Kevin) Newbauer, Amy (Michael) Eddleman, Wendy (Chris) Ambrose, and special daughter Sheila Holcomb; sons Gary (Cathy), Marty (Cathy), Kevin (Jill), and Patrick (Jim Masi); grandchildren Gary Jr. (Marsha), Clifford (Katie), Andy, Tiffany, Rosie, Maxwell, Kevin, Jr., Brandon, Grant, Emily, Jacob, Nathan, and Dakota; sister Gloria (Frank) Vince; sister-in-law Cora Holcomb; and numerous other family members and friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron. Funeral mass Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, 4009 Manchester Rd., Akron.
