Gaylord W. Hildreth. Sr.

Gaylord W. Hildreth, Sr., age 82, of Uniontown, Ohio, died on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 4:21 PM at Aultman Compassionate Care Hospice.
He was born in Barberton, Ohio, on July 12, 1935, the son of the late Jesse and Elsie Mae (nee Bowers) Hildreth.
Gaylord was an honorably discharged US Army veteran during peacetime, he earned the rank of corporal.
Mr. Hildreth was a meat cutter for 30 years for various processing plants. Gaylord enjoyed fishing, visiting with family, and doing yardwork.
Survivors include his only son, Gaylord W. Hildreth, Jr., with whom he lived; his granddaughter, Amanda Hildreth of Monroeville, NC; and one sister, Fannie (Ronnie) Sense of Clinton, Ohio.
Other than his parents, Gaylord was preceded in death by his two brothers, Larry and Jerry Hildreth; and his former wife, the former Carolyn Hensley.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Gaylord's memory.
Following all services, Mr. Hildreth will be cremated and his cremated remains will be inurned at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
