Gaynell Mosley, 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2016. Gay was born in Blairsville, Georgia on July 28, 1935 to the late Floyd and Bessie Holbrook. She grew up in Murphy, North Carolina, then moved with her parents to Akron, Ohio, before settling in Northampton with her family. She was the most loving, giving person and she put everyone before herself; truly a selfless wife, mom and grandmother. Gay was full of ambition, once working as a model and hairdresser before choosing to put her family first. Gay also loved God and is now with Him and her loving family.
She now joins her loving husband of 53 years, William Lee Mosley, Jr. Gay is also preceded in death by her brothers, JM, Jewel, Robert, and Billy Holbrook.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Louise Keasler; children, Rodney, Rick and Holly; and adored grandchildren, Kaylie and Kendall.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11 am at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Rd., Peninsula, OH.
