Gene A. Reese, Sr.

Gene A. Reese, Sr., 73, resident of Akron, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013. He was born on May 28, 1940 in Somerset, PA to the late John and Nancy Reese. Gene retired as a driver for Consolidated Freight after many years of service. He grew up driving trucks and enjoyed his time on the road when he wasn't home with his loving family.
Gene is survived by his wife of over 50 years Carmellia "Carman" Reese, children; Theresa, Gene, Jr., James and Rebecca Reese, sisters, Sandra (Henry) Bereider and Edith Stevens, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to "Carmie", Breanna, Mitchell and Wyatt.
Friends may call 5-8 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
