Gene C. Loudermilk, 86, of Akron, passed away May 3, 2013. Gene was born on July 24, 1926 in Ronceverte, WV to the late Craig and Nettie Loudermilk. He retired from Goodyear after 37 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ovella; and daughter, Lynn. He is survived by his daughters, Lois (Richard) Hale, Drema (Buddy) Held, Bonnie (Bob) Harney, and Tanya (Brent) Miller; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
