Geneva Hill

Geneva Hill, 86, got her wings on February 24, 2019. A longtime Akron resident, she was born on October 23, 1932 in Dublin, GA to late parents Hutcherson and Georgia Smith. Geneva enjoyed traveling, collecting bells, playing cards and feeding animals. She was the former owner of the House of Soulsville record store and also worked as a crossing guard for Akron Public Schools.

In addition to her parents, Geneva is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Paul D. Hill; brothers, John and Edward Smith; and sisters, Ethel Woods and Brownie Mae Moorman. She is survived by daughter, Karryll Hill; granddaughter, Jacara (Deshon) Reynolds; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Grady (Eunice), Jerome, Lucious (Dorothy), Rufus (Sharon); and many other family and friends.
