Geneva June Tritle

Geneva June Tritle, 82, of Tallmadge, passed away January 20, 2007. June was born June 26, 1924 in Akron, OH to the late Sherman and Ruth McLeland. She graduated from East High School in 1943 and attended Manchester College in Indiana. She worked for over 20 years as the office manager for Dr. William Cook in Akron. She was a member of Eastwood Church of the Brethren, the Eastwood Quilters, and the Women's Christian Fellowship. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting, and crafts. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tritle. She is survived by her children, Becky (Edward) Brown of LaGrange, KY, Dr. David (Candy) Smith of Eden, NC , Kathy (Rev. John) Ballinger of West Salem, OH, and Julie (Jim) Shives of Malvern, OH; sister, Evelyn Kaess; brother, Joseph (Rita) McLeland; grandchildren, Christopher (Crystal) Brown, Katie (Tim) Brauner, Robin Brown, Lauren (Ken) Herz, Cara Smith, Devon (Mark) Mickley, David Ballinger, Mark Ballinger, Katelyn Ballinger, Jessica (Bryan) Clough, Jennifer (Eric) Martens, and Jill Shives; great-grandchildren, Ian and Shelby Brown, Ethan Brauner, David and Sydney Herz, and Avalyn Clough; and niece, Marty (Vince) Meeker and nephew, Jim Kaess. The family would like to thank Dr. Tobias and the Akron General Heart Group and the Hospice of VNS for all the loving care given to June. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 3 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation for one hour prior at Eastwood Church of the Brethren, 581 Darrow Rd., Akron, OH 44305.
