George Abraham
George Abraham, 87, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 after a short illness. George was born February 3, 1922 in Akron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen and siblings, Paul, Katherine, Milos, Mary, Olga, and Dorothy. He is survived by his sister, Pauline Cingle. George is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Louise Abraham; children, Thomas (Fran) Abraham of Vermilion, Robert (Naomi) Abraham of Ravenna, Patricia (Phil) Pugh of Naples, Paul Abraham of Akron, and Louise Brenneman of Akron; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. George served in the U.S. Navy for four years during World War II on the USS Portunus as a Machinist First Class. He retired from BF Goodrich with 42 years of service. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
