George A. Barauskas
George A. Barauskas, 51, of Akron, passed away June 24, 2005 after a courageous fight with cancer. George was employed at Preferred Rubber and was President of Local 418 and two other Locals. He will always be remembered for his kind heart and generosity, and will be missed by all who knew him. George was preceded in death by his father, Tony; brother, Gary "Butch"; and nephew, Steven. He is survived by his mother, Betty; sister, Wendy Givens; brother, Mark (Terri) Barauskas; sister-in-law, Garnette Barauskas; nieces and nephews, Toni, Rob, Denise, Jennifer, Shawn, Keith, and Lori; special family friend, Gerry. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
