George R. Chitty, Jr.

George R. Chitty, Jr., 87, passed away at home on March 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy of 56 years. George was a member of the VCCA Car Club for over 40 years. He was an extreme car enthusiast with 2 antique cars of his own, his pride and joy. George drove his 1963 Chevy Impala SS Convertible in many parades with many politicians, homecoming queens and her courts. He loved racing and building race cars with his son. George was very proud of his grandson Scott, who took up the sport and is very successful at it. He also was very handy around the house and was always helping his daughter with projects around her home inside and out. George will be sorely missed by all. George is survived by his son Terry and wife Beth, daughter Shelly, grandson Scott and his brother John and his family.
