George D. Csanyi
George D. Csanyi, 83, of Akron, passed away December 27, 2007. George was born October 5, 1924 in Kent, Pennsylvania. He served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army, where he took up boxing. He also loved gardening, bowling, and horseshoes. George retired as an electrician for Local 306. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Elva Jean; children, Jeanette (David) Lovas, George (Cathy) Csanyi, Stephen (Susan) Csanyi, and Kristine (Greg) Swartz; stepdaughters, Christine (Jimmy) Whitehead and Cynthia (Loren) Harter; brother, David (Bonnie) Csanyi; grandchildren, Josh, Adam, David, Rob (Melanie), Shawn (Amanda), Tara, and Troy; and great-grandchildren, Caden, Travis, Dakota, Justin, Tyler, Hunter, Madison, and McKenna. Per George's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
