George Joseph Falkenstein
April 16, 1965 — March 20, 2019
George Joseph Falkenstein, known to his family as "Jody", passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2019 at the age of 53 years.
A native of Akron, Jody graduated from Springfield High School. He completed his education at NIT Vocational Trade Center before pursuing a career of almost twenty years as a professional Arborist with the Davey Expert Tree Company.
Jody had a passion for music and playing drums. He also enjoyed nature, fishing, boating, camping, golf and more.
One of three sons from his father, John and mother, Dottie, he will be sadly missed by his brothers, Darrell (Joyce) and Tim (Kathy); family and many friends.
A Celebration of Jody's life will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron Ohio 44305. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jody's name to the family.
