George Burton Myers, Iii

George Burton Myers, III, passed away April 5, 2023, after a long illness. Born in Akron, Ohio to George Jr. and Ava (Bennett) Myers, he was a lifelong resident. George was a graduate of Kent State and a proud U.S. Navy Vet. His BBA Degree led him to his career as an agent for American General Life. He loved baseball and most sports especially the Cleveland Indians/Guards and hockey. He had a love-hate relationship with politics.

Our George was a lifelong bachelor. He loved his brother and his extended family. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Barry (Pam) Myers; niece, Cari (Randy) Kershaw; nephews, Max James (Marie) and Patrick Myers; cousins Debbie Holmes of Phoenix, AZ and Winnie Rohrbaugh of Cedar Falls, IA. Barry and Pam send special thanks to the Cleveland VA staff, to his neighbor Tom and to Danielle Cox for her selfless care in his final months.

Friends and Family are invited to visit Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 1 P.M. Those who wish may make memorial donations in George's name to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.
