George R. Ramsay

George R. Ramsay, 76, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 11, 2008. George retired from Ohio Edison with 41 1/2 years of service and loyal dedication. Well respected and known as a strong leader by all who worked under his supervision, George was always held in high regard. He was a dedicated provider for his family, offering care and support to all who needed it. He was the helping hand to all of his neighbors of 54 years. He will be missed by many. George was preceded in death by his grandson, Chace Everett Ramsay. He is survived by his loving wife, Alberta; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Terri, Kevin and Robin; daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Charles Teufel, Joy Ramsay, Judy and Kevin Akers; grandchildren, Holly (Scott), Allison, Jenny, and Radawn (Jim); and great-grandchildren, Brayden, Bella, and Peyton. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
