George Spidle

George Spidle passed away May 29th. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Frank; brother, Frank and daughter, Michelle. He was a loving husband and father to his wife, Mary and his children, Frank (Julie) and Jan Marie Hoffsher (Jim). He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Leah, Kenneth, Joseph, Allyssa (Billy and great granddaughter, Emma; sisters, Mary, Clara, Lenore; and many nieces and nephews. George served in the Army. He was a long time member of the American Legion and served several years on the VFW Honor Guard. He was also a long time member of the Akron Turner Club and will be dearly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Akron Turner Club, 547 S. Monroe Falls Rd. on June 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
