George T. Pirt

George T. Pirt, 60, of Springfield Twp., passed away November 9, 2013. He was born in Waynesburg, PA on July 21, 1953 to the late John and Rosella Pirt. George was an avid Steelers fan, who loved to cook and be in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He was known for his laugh and smile which would light up a room.

He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Kelly (Frank) Kandar and Bea (Jim) Henderson.

George is survived by his children, George (Michele), Shara (Matt) Cleary, Nicholas (Veyonna) and Collin; brothers, John (Carol), Robert (Virginia) and Dennis ( Linda); 6 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a thank you to special friends who watched over George.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, November 13, from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14 at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Jerry Steffek officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Army-Navy Club #102 at Mt. Peace Cemetery, Hartville, OH.
