George Tasich, Sr.

George Tasich Sr., 71, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away March 19, 2013. He was born in Yugoslavia on September 18, 1941.
George enjoyed golfing, gardening, but most of all he enjoyed cookouts with his family. He loved watching and listening to baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Ljubica; special uncle and aunt, Joseph and Dorothy Tasich.
George is survived by his wife of 28 years, Laurie; children, Kevin, Debbie (Joe) Andriette, Joe (Lynn), Paul (Brenda), George Jr. (Theresa); 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerko Bodegrajac and Gliso (Stoja) Bodegrajac; nieces and nephews, Dushan (Anka), Mitch (Dragica), Vojin (Zelijka) and Ljubica (Milan); his dogs, Shasta and Daisy.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, March 23, from 3-5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd. Twinsburg, OH 44087.
