Georgena "Georgie" Lyn Guthrie, 62, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2018. She was born September 21, 1955 in Akron, Ohio. Georgie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be missed by many.
Georgena is preceded in death by her father, George E. Geitgey, and sister, Rhonda Ball Wynne. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Guthrie; sons, Todd Guthrie and Michael Guthrie; grandchildren, Austin Guthrie, Dylan Guthrie, Landin Guthrie, Alexandria Guthrie; great-granddaughter, Emersyn Guthrie; mother, Wonema Raye Geitgey; and brother, Mark Geitgey.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 3-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio. Cremation to follow at a later date.
