Georgia Christine Orton, 67, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2001 after a long illness. She was born in Kentucky on September 22, 1934 to the late Chester & Mary (Potter) Rexroat. Georgia devoted her entire life to her family, and worked with the handicapped in the Courageous Hearts Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bob Orton and son Chester Orton. She is survived by her daughter Christine (Richard) Loomis of Copley; sons Steven (Cindy) of Lakemore, Daniel (Lori) of Akron; brother Virgil (Michelle) Rexroat of Akron; grandchildren Richard (Jeannetta), Lisa, Jennifer (Earl), Krystal, Tiffany, Brandon, Candice, Jessica and Rachel; 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
