Gerald L. Hagedorn

Gerald L. Hagedorn, 83, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on June 7, 2022. Jerry was born in Masontown, WV on July 4, 1938 to the late Lee and Sadie Hagedorn. Jerry served in the U.S.Army Reserve before relocating to Ohio to begin a career with Goodrich Tire and Rubber which lasted over 25 years. In his free time, he loved cheering for the Indians and listening to country and western music. In his younger years, he played the guitar at square dances while his brother Robert was the caller.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, Myrtle, and Freda; niece, Linda; and great-nephew, Joe.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Lois; children, Nancy and William; grandchildren, Andrew Hagedorn, Christa (Nick) Greene, and Rebecca Lieving (Jason); great-grandchildren, Robert and Willow; ten nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1-3 followed by a 3:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
