Gerald D. Jarvis

Gerald D. Jarvis, 87, passed away at home January 23, 2025. Born in Stumptown, WV, he resided in the Akron, OH area all of his adult life. Jerry was a proud U. S. Army Veteran and he retired from Local 17, where he worked as an Iron Worker. He enjoyed gardening, wine making, cooking, sports and spending time with his family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Jarvis and Monte (Conrad) Dodd; sisters, Carol, Sharon, Katherine. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Kym Jarvis (Dale Romp), Kelli (Donnie) Lyell, Beate Kern; grandson, Leo Hilton; great granddaughter, Sophia Hilton; family friends, Pam Heaton, Meri Sistek; niece, Beth; nephews, David, Donald, Kyle, Wes.

Per Jerry's wishes, the family will have a celebration of his life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jerry's name to Hospets.
