Gerald L. Knafel

Gerald Lee Knafel, age 79, of Akron, passed away on January 5, 2025. He was born in Akron on October 11, 1945 to the late Lawrence and Wanda (Ellison) Knafel. He graduated from Ellet High School and was a Navy Veteran. He was a tire builder at Goodyear for 35 years. He was an avid Cleveland Sports Fan and enjoyed fishing.

Gerald is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Emily Knafel; daughter Allison Knafel; grandchildren Alicia, Kalista (Matthew), Chloe and Evan; great-grandsons Landyn and Gavin; brother Bernie (Barb) Knafel; sister Carol (Steven) Klein; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by son Michael Shane; and brothers Ronnie and Larry Knafel.

Visitation will be Saturday January 11th, from 4-6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral services begin at 6 PM.
