Gerald W. "Jerry" Brown

Gerald W. "Jerry" Brown, 66, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024 with family by his side. Born in Detroit, Michigan to Billie and Maxine (Cummins) Brown, he resided in the Akron, Ohio area all of his adult life. Jerry worked for Ohio Edison (now First Energy) for over 30 years, with people he considered to be family. He enjoyed traveling, testing out new hobbies, watching Star Wars movies as well as Harry Potter, being ornery and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mary. He will be sadly missed by his son, Dan (Alyssa) Brown.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of Jerry's life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jerry's name to the American Cancer Society.
