Gerald G. Woods Sr., 71 years of age, went home to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on April 7, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 4, 1950 in Sutton, West Virginia.
Gerald was a strong courageous man with a heart of gold fighting for 8 1/2 years after a tragic paralyzing accident. Never wavering from the most important thing in his life, the overwhelming love of his family. Living his life to the fullest and showing his children and grandchildren that the key to happiness was "Faith in the Lord" and a "Strong Family Bond".
Avid lover of hot rods and motorcycles over the years restoring numerous cars, building dune buggies and motorcycles. His prize possession is a memorial custom chopper for our son, Mike.
He designed and built a 3-wheel V-8 powered trike over a 2 year period.
Gerald was a "Jack of All Trades and Mastered All". He was employed by Ken-Tool Mfg. Co. for 40 plus years.
Woody was preceded in death by his son, Michael Woods; his infant grandson, Gerald G. Woods III; his parents, Garland and Beulah (nee Pierson) Woods; his step-father, Ollie Keener; and his siblings, Larry Wood and Shirley Johnson.
Woody is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, the former Judith Brown, whom he married on May 12, 1969; his children, Gerald (Stacy) Woods Jr and Sherry (Kevin) Lovejoy; his grandchildren, Keith Lovejoy, Rob (Amanda) Lovejoy, Johnny (Megan)Woods and Todd Woods; and his great-granddaughters, Cali Lovejoy and Aubree and Madison Woods;
and his brothers, Rocky (Wanda) Wood and Jr. Ray (Karen) Woods; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Also surviving is his extended loving family "The McCutcheon Family" including, Michael McCutcheon and Michael Edward Woods McCutheon.
Thankful to thee Cleveland Clinic Home Healthcare for their extra compassionate care and to his longtime "Girls" that became family.
