Geraldine E. Hobbs
Geraldine E. Hobbs, 89, of Akron entered Heaven's gate on July 21, 2010. Geraldine will always be remembered for her amazing determination and strong will. She retired as a key punch operator from Roadway Express. She was a dance instructor in her teens and later took up photography. She was a talented seamstress, jewelry designer, and owner of the tavern Jack's Place. Her favorite hobby was tending to her flowers. She was a member of FOE 555. Above all, she was a devoted mother to her four children. Geraldine was preceded in death by son, Michael A. Toth. She is survived by sons, Terry (Betty) Toth and Marc Toth; daughter, Carla Southworth; daughter-in-law, Donna Joseph Toth; sister, Doris Oatley; granddaughter, Joyce (Greg) Hughes; great-grandchildren, Britteny and Barry Jr.; great-great-granddaughters, Mia and Bailee. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Interment at East Akron Cemetery.
