Geraldine "Gerri" Kalain

Geraldine "Gerri" Kalain, 87, passed away on February 15, 2011. Gerri retired from the Summit County Treasury after 8 years of service. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, sewing, and gardening. Gerri was preceded in death by her husband, George. Survivors include her daughter, Janice; sons, Rudy, Robert "Frog", and Frank; sister, Irene (John) Latta; grandchildren, Jason (Gina), Nick, Matt, Sierra, and Kody; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jacqueline, and Maddox. A celebration of Gerri's life will be held Sunday, 1-4 p.m., at the FOP Lodge, 2610 Ley Dr., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Haven of Rest Ministries.
