Geraldin "Gerry" Hutchens
Geraldine "Gerry" Hutchens, 80, went to be with the Lord and her husband Harold on February 7, 2006. She was born in Bellshill, Scotland and became a US citizen in 1972. Geraldine attended St. Martha Catholic Church; was an avid bowler; and was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by her parents James and Jessie Hayes; and her husband Harold. Survivors include sons John (Faye) and Harold T., II (Therese); daughter Pamela; sister Midge Hendershot; brothers John (Shirley) Hayes and James "Scotty" (Hilda) Hayes; grandchildren John, Rob, Samantha, Sarah, Maribeth, Ira, Cody, and Celina; 10 great-grandchildren; caretaker Rose Webb; devoted Pug Reggie; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be TODAY, 6-9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral mass Friday, 11 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church, 87 Broad St., Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
