Geraldine L. Moore , 65, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
Geraldine was born on October 5, 1950 in Orwell, Ohio to Norman and Geraldine Dent. She graduated from Grand Valley High School in Orwell, Ohio and Kent State University. Geraldine had a deep love for her horses, especially Sunset, and loved to compete and also took pride in watching her children and granddaughter show. She retired from Akron Public Schools as a elementary teacher.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Geraldine Dent; brother, Norman Dent; and her beloved horse Sunset.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Lisle; children, Kelly (Jamie) and Larry, Justin (Tina), Erica (Matthew); caring mother-in-law, Gladys Moore; sisters, Judy (Billy) Butcher, Linda (Jonathan) Widman; brother, Doug (Jane) Dent; brother-in-law, Larry (Sandy) Moore; and her grandchildren that she loved so much, Kaitlyn, Coy, Matthew, Kirsten, Shay and Jadelyn; along with a host of friends.
Geraldine was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Nana and friend, and will be missed by all that knew her.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305. A funeral service will follow. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
