GERALDINE M. "GERI" (HOLLISTER) HARPER, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2013. Born on June 4, 1931 in Guardian, WV to the late Herbert and Pearl Hollister. Geri was a member of Akron Springfield Assembly of God.
Preceded in death by her parents; Granny Ogle; brother, Dick Hollister; sisters, Patty Ward and Bobbie Jean Hollister; grandson, Tyler Harper. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ron Harper; children, Pam Hinkle and Randy (Bethann) Harper; grandchildren, Denny, Jimmy, Ian and Evan; great grandchildren, Brett, Baylee and Jack; many family and friends. Special thank you to Karen Greenlee, for taking care of Geri and family, Suffield Twp Fire Dept and Crossroads Hospice.
Friends may call 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2013 and one hour prior to the service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Serbin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suffield Township Fire Department, 1256 Waterloo Rd, Mogadore, OH 44260.
