Geraldine Thomas

Geraldine Thomas, 87, of Springfield Twp., went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2016 at 2:45pm at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 15, 1928; daughter of the late Charles Roy and Florence Mae (Adams) Cooper. Geraldine worked for Jennings Heating, and she did independent sales for many years. She devoted her life to giving to those whom she loved. She loved to cook and give hand-crafted gifts of her art, created from her heart. Her work came secondary to caring for her family and those she loved.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Roy Legg; granddaughter, Dawn Marie Legg; still-born grandson; brothers, Jack Adams, Charles Mann; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 65 years, Boyd S. Thomas; children, Diana (John) Faulconer, Don D. (Cindee) Legg, Ronnie L. Legg, Rickey D. (Diana) Thomas, Patricia Mae (Richard) Kelly, Michael H. Thomas, John Allen (Carole) Thomas, Larry W. (Patricia) Thomas, Danny C. Harris, and Anna Hoff; 27 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

At her request, private family services will be held and cremation has taken place. In honor of mother and her goodwill spirit of giving to others, the family asks if we can pay it forward by doing acts of kindness for others.
