Geraldine Marie Uber, age 95, of Akron left her Earthly home to return to her LORD on January 19, 2025, and reunited with her parents Archie and Grace Barzellon, and her husband George Uber. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Ashley Brown, son-in-law Kurt Brown, sister Jean Flower, baby brother Willard, and godchild Nancy Flower. Geri was born on June 1, 1929, and spent her life in the North Hill area of Akron. She was a 1947 graduate of North High School. She went on to work many jobs, but devoted her time to being a wife and mother when she married George, an Akron Fireman. They spent beloved 70 years together until his passing in 2020. Geri was involved in PTA where she volunteered for 15 years as a tutor across Akron Schools and was PTA president for 2 years. She believed that children come first and their education was of high importance. She was proud to be apart of the education system for 17 years.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children David Uber, and Cheryl Brown (Duaine Titus), granddaughter Lauren Uber; great-granddaughters Stephanie and Paige; and many nieces nephews and extended family.
Geri’s final message to her family and fiends is to "always do what is right and it will always be right, and to live by the golden rule to treat people the way you want to be treated". These are the rules instilled by her father and continued his legacy by living her life this way and teaching it to her children and the children she served.
Her wishes were to be cremated and be inurned at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery next to her husband George.
Her last wish for everyone is peace and love to all.
