Gertha B. Willen
Gertha B. Willen, 82, of Coventry Twp., passed away August 28, 2005 at Barberton Citizens Hospital. She was born February 21, 1923 in Clay, West Virginia to the late David & Annie (Boggs) Rose. Gertha's greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren grow. She achieved great pleasure from cooking and taking care of others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Willen. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Norman) Hicks of Akron; step-daughters, Margie Blevins and Faye (Travis) Gunther both of Texas; step-son, William (Charlene) Willen of Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Ward Eugene (Katiebelle) Rose of West Virginia, William Rockford Rose and Norman (Shirley) Rose both of Ohio; sisters, Bessie (Ken) Adkins and Charlotte Burgess both of Texas. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Mike and Matt Angle officiating.
