Gertrude J. Booth, 86, passed away on August 26, 2011.
The daughter of Clifford and Josephine Shuman, she was born on September 16, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio. Gertrude was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe; son, Clifford. She is survived by her daughter, Gwen (Duane) Keith; grandsons, Michael and Daniel; brother, Ben Shuman.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will be held at Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, 1430 Goodyear Blvd., Akron, OH, on Thursday, September 1, at 11 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church.
