Gilman R. Tapscott

Gilman Romone Tapscott, 72, passed away on June 28, 2024. He was born on July 11, 1951 the son of the late Norman and Bernice Tapscott of Northtown, Kentucky. Gilman proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a man of faith and followed Christ in his everyday life. Gilman looked out for others especially taking care of his four legged companions and was known in the area of fostering and caring for many injured and ill animals back to better health. He enjoyed tinkering with cars. Gilman enjoyed shooting pool with family and friends. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Billy Thomas Tapscott; and sisters Tommie Lee Wallace and Frankie Brewington.

Gilman is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Tapscott; sons Shannon Tapscott and Timothy (Jennifer) Tapscott; grandchildren Tyler (Elaina) Tapscott, Joshua Tapscott, Autumn Tapscott, Cordell Tapscott, and Caisen Tapscott; great-grandchildren Khloe Tapscott, Hayden Tapscott and Mia Tapscott; and many other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held 10:45am on July 5th at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville 44273).
