Gizela Buchtel

Gizela Buchtel, 81, of Akron, passed away August 29, 2005. Gizela retired from the main Post Office on Wolfs Ledges after over twenty years of service. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Gizela loved all animals, and frequently adopted and cared for stray cats and dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leo Buchtel. She is survived by her sons, Richard Thom, Robert Foulks, and Joseph Foulks. Family and friends may call TODAY from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 212 E. Voris St. Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
