Gladys Evelyn Denholm

Gladys Evelyn Denholm, age 93, of Hudson passed away on July 9, 2024. She was born in Alloa, Scotland on June 18, 1931. An avid ballroom dancer, Evelyn met John "Ian" Denholm at a dance. They fell in love and married on March 3, 1956 before sailing to the U.S. on the Queen Mary. She retired from Goodyear Bank in Hudson. In her free time, Evelyn loved to garden, paint pictures, design her own clothing, and care for her pet dogs. She enjoyed auditing classes at Kent State University as well. Ian and Evelyn loved sailing. They belonged to the Berlin Yacht Club and sailed all over the east coast and even some of the west coast of the U.S. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home through the U.S. and spending winters in Florida.
Evelyn was recently preceded in death by her husband, Ian Denholm. She is survived by her children Glenn (Lisa) Denholm and Kirk (Kathy) Denholm; and sister Phyllis Reid.
