Gladys Fresh, age 84 of Akron, Ohio, passed away June 10, 2017, peacefully, at the hospital with family by her side after battling pneumonia and heart problems.
She was born June 13, 1933 to the late Dorothy Bosak in Akron, Ohio.
Gladys was a greeter at Sam's Club in Fairlawn. She enjoyed being with people, she never met a stranger.
In addition to her mother, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Russell E. Fresh, Sr.; her brother, David Scott; her grandson, Michael Anthony DeVenture; and great-great-grandson, Jordan Ray Dunson.
Those who will cherish her loving memory are her children, Vickie (Joe) Franjesh; Russell E. (Tammy) Fresh, Jr., Sheila Workman, and Tina (Jim) Garland; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
A special blessing for our sister, Sheila, for a lifetime of care to both of our parents. Sheila was a true God send.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be held at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
